features Try as he might, Zagreus cannot help but stand out. He has learned to dress down (god bless yoga pants) but some things never change. His dark hair is perpetually wreathed with gold-and-red laurels, and his odd eyes are remarkable even after that. He is of an average human male height, with an athletic build, and little body hair, looking more like a runner or swimmer than a body builder.
Even more notable are his feet, which are perpetually on fire, and give off a warm glow. They seem to leave scorch marks on some surfaces (such as stone and soil) but do not seem to do any damage to surfaces that you would expect, like carpets and grass. It's as much a mystery as anything else. They are warm to the touch but usually don't burn anyone. Not anyone he likes, at least.

About
first impressions Most people will find Zagreus friendly and open on first meeting. He's inquisitive, has a good sense of humor, and is generally respectful towards anyone who shows him at least some civility. Strangers who come at him with attitude or agression might not get the same response; he'll sooner try to diffuse the situation, he'd much rather make friends than enemies, but he won't take kindly to repeated attemps to antagonize him.details
- Amicable - For someone who grew up in the Underworld, surrounded by the spirits of the dead and fathered by the dour Lord of the Dead himself, Zagreus is exceedingly friendly and outgoing, and will befriend just about anyone, given the chance. As long as they're not trying to kill him (and even sometimes when they are) he makes every attempt to extend the proverbial olive branch. His sense of humor and lackadaisical air makes it easy to get along with him, and despite being both a demigod and a prince, he doesn't hold himself in too high a regard. He likes to offer his friends gifts, with no expectation of anything in return, and engages them in discussion about their lives.
- Playful - While not a habitual practical joker, Zagreus can have his mischievous side, too. This might mean telling the court musician a bunch of tall-tales to liven the musician's spirit, or humoring a tortured Shade who believes the boulder he must push up a hill for all eternity is, in fact, sentient. His quick wit lends to his air of ease, and he's quick to interject with a joke, even at his own expense.
- Respectful - Despite being Prince of the Underworld, Zagreus does not hold himself above anyone else, regardless of their station. He has just as much respect for the spirits of the dead around him, the housekeeper, and just about everyone he meets. He also shows deference to his Olympian relatives; despite their flaws, he is grateful to them for their assistance, and does his best to show them the respect they are accustomed to, with complete sincerity.
- Persistent - One man's persistence can be another man's stubbornness, and Zagreus is equal parts both. When he wants to do something, he is relentless towards achieving his goal -- whether it's reuniting lost lovers, becoming someone's friend, or escaping the impossible-to-escape underworld. No matter how many times he has to butt his head against it, he will keep trying. This only extends as far as the things he actually wants to do, however; tasks like boring office work don't suit his restless nature, and don't garner the same level of effort.
- Rebellious - Despite his generally good-natured attitude, Zagreus has a rebellious side, especially when it comes to his father. He makes it no secret that he resents his father, and much of the driving force in his adult life is fighting against the stifling authority he faces in the House of Hades. He doesn't accept that which he sees as unjust, going so far as to use his authority within the House to lighten the sentence of some of the Shades he befriends on his numerous attempts at escaping the underworld. Although he will eventually come to more of an understanding with his father, there is still a part of him that will make his protest when he thinks it's called for.
- Impulsive - It might be a little too on-the-nose to say that Zagreus is hot-headed but there's no denying that he is inclined to act first, think later. His kind nature means that his impulse is often coupled with good intent, but it still can lead to him coming across as inconsiderate. He may also fail to consider the consequences of achieving whatever goal he's set out for himself.

first impressions Short king, terrible fashion sense. His odd eyes (one red with black sclera, one green with white sclera) and his feet that burn like embers stand out immediately.build athletic
